I have just met Eve Myles, John Barrowman and Gareth David-Lloyd at the Cardiff Torchwood signing!! Though I queued for 3 hours and didn’t get to take any photos, I did get my brand spankin’ new copy of Children of Earth signed – plus Eve called me sweetheart and I think I nearly died of happiness
Here is a picture of my signed DVD – captures of the episodes plus all the extras will be added asap! Oh, and I also got my paws on copy of a Cardiff Life magazine which has a great interview with Eve in, so I’ll scan that asap too.
(I have also found some pictures from the London signing, check those out here!)

John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd made a dramatic arrival to Cardiff today to launch Torchwood: Children of Earth on DVD & Blu-ray. The Cardiff skies were buzzing as the team jetted in by helicopter – landing on top of the Torchwood hub in Cardiff Bay.
Our heroes made the typically Torchwood entrance to their native city before heading off to HMV for a DVD signing, where hundreds of fans had gathered.
“Cardiff is such an important part of Torchwood. I’m thrilled to be signing here,” says John Barrowman. “Arriving in a helicopter is not only really cool,” he adds, “it’s also the only way to travel because someone’s stolen the Torchwood vehicle.”
The action-packed series achieved phenomenal ratings success delivering an average of over 5.8 million viewers per episode for its move to BBC One.
In the spectacular third series the team face their greatest threat yet, – one which throws the future of Torchwood and the entire human race spiralling into danger when an ordinary day becomes a world of terror, as every single child in the world stops.
As a trap closes around Captain Jack, sins of the past are returning and long-forgotten events from 1965 threaten to reveal an awful truth. Captain Jack, Gwen and Ianto are helpless, as events escalate until mankind faces the end of civilisation itself.
Packed with extras, Torchwood: Children of Earth was released on Monday 13th July, and both DVD and Blu-Ray versions are available from Amazon.

Fresh from saving the world from an alien attack, Torchwood star Eve Myles has spoken of facing her biggest challenge yet – becoming a mum for the first time.
Last night the Cardiff-based, Bafta Cymru- winning actress said life had imitated art – she discovered she was pregnant not long after she’d filmed the emotional scenes in which her character Gwen Cooper also reveals she’s to be a parent.
“Of course, what I’ve really done is take method acting to the extreme,” laughed Ystradgynlais-born Eve, who’s due in November.
“I realised that for the fourth series Gwen will need a baby and I just thought, ‘Why let the casting department go to all the bother of finding a baby when I can just make one myself’!

There’s still no real news of a Torchwood Series 4 but Eve Myles certainly seems to talk as though there is.
Chatting in WalesOnline she draws parallels with her own pregancy and that of Torchwood’s Gwen Cooper, slipping in a reference to the next run of the show:
“Of course, what I’ve really done is take method acting to the extreme,” laughed Ystradgynlais-born Eve, who’s due in November.
“I realised that for the fourth series Gwen will need a baby and I just thought, ‘Why let the casting department go to all the bother of finding a baby when I can just make one myself!’
Whatever happens of course, we’re more than likely to hear confirmation of a fourth run of Torchwood at some point this year. With the key players all enjoying their work – reflected in busy international schedules – getting just Russell T Davies, John Barrowman and Eve Myles together in a room good require some considerable organisation.

BBC1’s stripped drama Torchwood came to a close on Friday night with an impressive 5.8m viewers (26.7% share) at 9pm.
The hour-long sci-fi drama, which had aired in the same slot across last week, grew its audience from an initial 5.7m (26.7%) to a high at the end of 5.9m (26.8%).
The five-part drama, titled Children of Earth, held a strong audience over the five days with a series average of 5.9m (26.1%). Nearly half of those watching – 48% – were upmarket ABC1 viewers. Younger viewers, aged 16 and 34, weren’t so taken with the show as they made up 19.4% of those watching.
The series kicked off on 6 July with 5.9m (25.8%), dipped initially the next day to 5.6m (24%) but hit a high of 6.2m (27%) on Thursday. Although Friday’s finale couldn’t build on that high the show was still some way ahead of everyone else at the time.
