Eve Myles drama pulls in 4.7 million

One-off drama Framed performed well for BBC One last night, according to early viewing figures.

The programme, starring Trevor Eve and Torchwood’s Eve Myles, pulled in a decent 4.67m (19.8%) between 8.30pm and 10pm. The half-hour Would I Lie To You? followed, bringing in 3.41m (17.1%).

BBC Two’s University Challenge interested 2.91m (12.6%) at 8pm. The audience then dropped to 1.8m (6.7%) during the 8.30pm screening of Caribbean Food Made Easy, then the third and final part of Future Of Food grabbed 1.4m (6%) during the 9pm hour.

Over on ITV1, the half-hour You’ve Been Framed! managed 3.24m (14%) at 8pm, and the second part of Peter Bowker’s dramatisation of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights averaged 3.99m (17.9%) between 9pm and 10.30pm, just beating last night’s opener.

The final part of Channel 4’s On Tour With The Queen bowed out to 870k (3.7%) during the 9pm hour, then 1.91m (11.1%) tuned in for the Big Brother highlights show at 10pm. Earlier on the channel, Doctor Dolittle averaged 1.05m (4.5%) between 7.30pm and 9pm.

The Gadget Show logged 1.2m (5.1%) for Five during the 8pm hour, then new series Warship opened to 1.48m (6.3%) at 9pm.

Overall, ITV1 came top during primetime with an average share of 22.8% to BBC One’s 20.7%. BBC Two was third with 6.8%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.6% (+1: 0.6%) and Five’s 4.6%.

Elsewhere, More4’s screening of the season seven opener of Without A Trace grabbed 405k (1.9%), beating One Tree Hill’s 299k (1.4%) for E4.
